Mt. Harmony Baptist Church is excited about our Upward Program and we enjoyed having your children join us this past Winter as we added Basketball and Cheerleading for the first time.
We had a wonderful season with 127 kids participating on 14 basketball teams and 6 cheerleading squads. Thanks to all the players, parents, and coaches for a great inagural season. The end of Season Upward Awards Celebration was held on Sunday, February 15th followed by a churchwide Fellowship for Upward families.
The 2009-2010 basketball and cheerleading season will kick off with registration in September. Practices will begin in November and games will begin in December with breaks for Christmas and New Years.
About Upward Sports
Upward is an evangelistic sports ministry specifically designed for K4 through sixth grade boys and girls that promotes salvation, character, and self-esteem in every child. The purpose of Upward is to introduce children to Jesus Christ by creating opportunities to serve through sports.

Location/Practice and Game Information
Practices and games will be held at the Lindley Middle School Gym. Lindley is located at 50 Veterans Memorial Hwy, SE (approximately 1/2 mile from Mt. Harmony Baptist Church on the same side of the road). Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All games are played on Saturday with breaks for the week of Christmas and New Years. Please see your coach for additional information on specific times of practices and games for your team.
