August Lessons

In Sunday School during the month of August, our preschoolers will be discovering how they can show God's love to people by telling them about Jesus, and how they can work together to help meet people's needs through prayer and by giving time and money.

The first Sunday in August, Grades 1 - 5 will be concluding the four week, "It's A New Day" study.  The remainder of the month they will be studying the exciting and heroic adventures of Peter, Paul, Barnabas, and Silas, as they told people about Jesus.  The children will also learn how to share with others what God has done for them.

All preschoolers and children will advance to their new Sunday School Classes on August 8th.   

DMZ Is Coming!
Begins August 8, 5:00 - 7:15 PM

You will want your child to be a part of this fun, high-energy discipleship program that encourages children to know Jesus Christ and to grow in a relationship with Him.  Choir, Bible stories, scripture memory, missions, life application, and recreation all connect to teach life lessons.  We will meet every Sunday beginning August 8th, 5:00 - 7:15 PM.  Ages 3 - 5 will meet in Room C107 on the First Floor.  Grades 1 - 5 will meet in the Kids Zone on the Second Floor.

Mt. Harmony offers a wide variety of activities for children from birth to 5 th Grade in the Preschool and Children's Ministries.   Our goal is to help families have happy Christian experiences through the many opportunities offered for children at Mt. The Preschool & Children's Ministries are led by the Director of Preschool & Children's Ministries – Suzanne Brown.   Suzanne and her husband Don have been active members of Mt. Harmony since 1971. After serving for many years in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Children's Choir, and WMU, Suzanne joined the staff in 1994 as the Director of Preschool & Children's Ministries.

Suzanne has a special love and concern for the children of Mt. Harmony and the community, realizing that so much of what we become spiritually is manifested in the childhood years.
