About Mt. Harmony
Located in Mableton, Georgia, Mt. Harmony Baptist Church is appropriately named as we are truly a friendly, harmonious church. The people love Jesus and each other and demonstrate their love often. Founded in 1871 as a small country church, the church has grown steadily over the years and now includes over 1,600 members with many 2nd and even 3rd generation families actively attending.

Mt. Harmony Baptist Church is a traditional Southern Baptist Church. We give generously to the Lord's work through our Southern Baptist agencies and we hold membership in both the West Metro Baptist Association and the Georgia Baptist Convention.

Church Declaration

Mt. Harmony is a congregation of baptized believers in Christ, united by covenant for the worship of Almighty God, and associated in the faith and the fellowship of the gospel to practice its precepts, to recognize and receive Jesus Christ as their supreme Law-Giver and Ruler, and to take the Bible, and the Bible alone, as the standard by which all matters of belief and conduct are to be tried.

About God

  • We believe that there is one and only one God.
  • That He is the God of the Holy Bible.
  • That He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

About Jesus Christ

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is God's only begotten son.
  • That he was born of a virgin, was crucified to pay the ransom for the sins of mankind, rose from the dead, ascended to Heaven, and will return again to Earth one day. 

About Salvation

  • We believe that all people have sinned and have fallen short of God's standard.
  • We believe that the only solution to this fallen condition is offered to man by the grace of God, received through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

About Eternity

  • We believe that man is a special creation, made in the image of God, and has an eternal spirit that will live forever in one of two places: Heaven or Hell.
